Turn in Times: 

6:00 PM – 6:20 PM Chicken

6:20 PM – 6:40 PM Pork

6:40 PM – 7:00 PM Brisket

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Desserts

 

People’s Choice Judging 7-8PM By Dearborn Fair Attendees (Samples of 2oz Containers)

8:30 PM ANNOUNCEMENT OF BBQ CONTEST WINNERS

Each Meat Category:
  • First Place: $500 & Plaque
  • Second Place: $ 300
  • Third Place: $ 100
  • Peoples Choice Fan Favorite: $100
Dessert:
  • First Place: $100
  • Second Place: $75
  • Third Place: $50

Rules:

  • Rules Packet will be provided on June 19th at Check-in.
  • Teams may consist of 1 to 3 competitors.
  • One Member of the Team must attend.
  • Dearborn County Fair Board may alter rules if needed.
  • Judges and Dearborn County Fair Board Decisions are Final.
  • Please contact Dearborn County Fair Board Member Karen Herth at – (513) 260-0665 for any questions.
  • Each Team will be provided a 20 x 20 space. No electrical access will be provided and generators are welcome. All generators, chillers, and other powered equipment, brought to the cook-off, must be “whisper quiet” models.
  • Any other type will not be allowed, unless approved in writing by the Chairman Herth of the BBQ Contest Committee BEFORE 5 pm on Monday, June 17, 2023.
  • Safe handling of food is a requirement and must be prepared following Dearborn County Health Department Standards.
